The classic 15" Mystic Gnome Jockey is dressed wearing his finest, with a tall pointed cap, jacket in a solid raspberry color pattern and his trademark white beard. In one hand, he holds the book of knowledge and in the other, a lantern to light the way. The history of Gnomes dates back to 1847. According to myth, Gnomes hoard secret knowledge just as they hoard and guard buried treasure deep beneath the earth. It is said that where a Gnome is placed, a great treasure will grow beneath it. The Gnome derives its name
from the Greek Mythology word meaning knowledge.
